THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, Jan 1, 1920, page 1, column 4. "Mrs. M. J. Miller Dead. - Mrs. M. J. Miller, of Springfield, Mo., a former Maxwell woman died at her home there and the remains were brought to Maxwell Monday evening. Funeral services were held from the Mt. Zion church Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Obituary will be published next week."

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, Jan 8, 1920, page 1, column 4. "MRS. M. J. MILLER. - Rhoda Bell Rush** was born in Mansfield, Ohio, June 4, 1860, and died at her home in Springfield, Mo. December 27, 1919, at the age of fifty-nine years, six months and twenty-three days, after an illness of three years. She was converted while a very young girl, later uniting with the Presbyterian church, and lived a faithful Christian until death claimed her. She was united in marriage to M. J. Miller on January 16, 1901. Deceased is survived by her husband and five brothers, two brothers and one sister having gone on before. She also leaves a host of friends and acquaintances to mourn her departure. The remains were brought to Maxwell Monday night, accompanied by Mr. Miller. The funeral was held at the Mt. Zion church Wednesday of last week at 11:00 a. m., conducted by Rev. H. D. Robinson. Interment was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Card of Thanks. To the friends who so kindly lent assistance and sympathy during my recent bereavement in the loss of my beloved wife, I wish to extend my sincere thanks. I also wish to express my appreciation to the singers. M. J. Miller." **Editorial note - In the obituary of W. A. Rusk, the father of Rhoda Bell Rush Miller, the surname is spelled Rusk not Rush.

**Editorial note - there is no listing for M. J. or Moses J. Miller in the Mount Zion (Loring) cemetery, but according to his obituary, THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, September 26, 1929, page 1, column 3, "MOSES J. MILLER - ….. On Monday funeral services were held at the Loring** church, conducted by Rev. H. D. Robison, of Des Moines, and Rev. David Lang, of Loring. Burial was made in the family lot at Loring." His 1st wife Amanda and his daughter Effie E. are buried here with a space beside them that has no information. There is also no listing for Rhoda Belle Rusk Miller the 2nd wife of Moses, but according to her obituary, THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, Jan 8, 1920, page 1, column 4. "MRS. M. J. MILLER. - Rhoda Bell Rusk ….. . The funeral was held at the Mt. Zion church Wednesday of last week at 11:00 a. m., conducted by Rev. H. D. Robinson. Interment was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery…"
