Obituary: "MELBORNE, IA. - Services for Martin Middelkoop, 83, of Melbourne will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown, with burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr. Middelkoop died of cancer Saturday at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Mr. Middelkoop was born in Rose Hill and lived in Melbourne 58 years. He was a retired salesman with DX Sunray Oil Co. and a member of the Van Cleve United Church of Christ and the National Corn Huskers Association. Survivors include his wife, Lois; two sons, Phillip of Marshalltown and Ronald of Hershey, Pa.; a daughter, Juanita Fulster of Galdbrook; two sisters, Minnie Byers and Nellie Shickell, both of Nevada; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m."
