"Mrs. Carrie Fair received a message Tuesday noon advising her of the sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Lorena McGuire, of Perry, better known here as Lorena Fair. Mrs. Fair and son, Donald, and Grant Whitaker will attend the funeral which will be Thursday at the Workman funeral home at Perry." "Mr. and Mrs. Curt Whitaker and son, Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whitaker and daughters, Marjorie and Joyce, of Des Moines, were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Laura Whitaker and daughter, Mrs. Carrie Fair. They were accompanied by Miss Veta Fair, who has been convalescing at the Ray Whitaker home following her recent operation at the Methodist hospital."
