RICHARD WARREN
CAMBRIDGE -- Funeral services for Richard Leroy Warren, 17, who died Dec. 21 at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Cambridge Methodist church with the Rev. J. E. McClellan officiating.
Mrs. Earl McHone sang two hymns, "Nearer My God to Thee" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" accompanied by Mrs. Leland Gardner at the piano. Mrs. Kermit Griffith and Mrs. Harry Cairns had charge of flowers.
Casket bearers were Charles Ernst, Robert Ernst, Dean Heintz and Max Heintz.
Obituary
Richard Leroy Warren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Warren was born Sept. 20, 1941 at Ames, Iowa and lived in and around Cambridge, Iowa, all his life. He was a senior in the Ballard Community school at Huxley and his classmates attended the service in body. While in school he was active and in sports, mainly basketball and baseball.
He leaves to mourn his death, his parents, three brothers, Mike, William and Stanley, his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Hines and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Presnall, besides a number of uncles and aunts, many friends and schoolmates.
Burial in the Campridge cemetery.
