Maxwell, last week but as we were somewhat misinformed as to dates we will make the corrections this week and present a few facts which have come to us since. Elizabeth K. Wood was born December 30, 1825, in Logan county Ohio, and died at her home near Cory Grove Iowa December 8, 1902, age seventy seven years, two months and eight days, she moved with her parents to Indiana in 1840 and was unoted** in marriage to Daniel Maxwell, December 27, 1849, to this union eight children were born, six of whom survive her and all were present at the time of her death. Mrs. Maxwell united with the Baptist church early in life and lived a consistant** christian life until the end and she passed into the great eternity with full faith in God. Mrs. Maxwell was a long but patient sufferer and was never heard to complain of her lot, and her last breath passed out calm and almost imperceptaible** and she is now with her God, whom she love to serve. "GRANDMA MAXWELL. Her white soul is gone forever. Borne down by the river of time. Down in the calm of the night time. With all the winds sleeping and still. Wide did the portal gates open when her white soul went to rest. With a white cloud for her pillow. There shall she sleep till the dawn."" **Editorial note - spelling used is from the original newspaper article.
