THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, July 10, 1901, page 1. "COLLINS - Sherman McCord's baby died last Saturday at 1 p.m. The funeral was held at Iowa Center, Sunday at 3:00 p. m., conducted by Rev. Stevenson, of the U. B. church."

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, July 10, 1901, page 1, "IOWA CENTER - The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Sherm McCord died on Saturday and was buried Sunday. Mr. Stevenson, of Collins, conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Urbino of this place. The little one was laid to rest in the Woodlawn cemetery."

"The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherm McCord died Saturday form the effect of spinal meningitis and was buried at Woodlawn cemetery Sunday afternoon. The funeral was held from the Iowa Center church, conducted by Rev. Stevenson, Rev. V. Urbino assisting. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the entire community."
