THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, June 21, 1900, page 5, column 2. "Miss Pearl H. Kulow, of Peoria, daughter of Mrs. E. A. Kulow, died at Glenwood last week and was brought back here for burial. She was born December 22, 1882, and died June 17, 1900, hence she was 17 years, 5 months and 26 days old at the time of her demise. The funeral was conducted at Peoria on Tuesday of this week by Rev. S. S. Scull, of the M. P. church, after which interment occurred at the Peoria cemetery, the pall bearers being her five sisters and a sister-in-law. The family has the sympathy of many friends to help assuage their grief, the poignancy of which can only be realized by those who have passed through a similar sad experience."
