THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, March 2, 1939, page 5, column 2. "Amos Kendig, 70, of Collins, passed away Tuesday evening, after an illness, having had the flu and a weakened heart. He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrs. John I. Kimberly and Mable Kendig."
