THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, September 19, 1907, page 1, column 1. "Mrs. D. C. Johnson received the sad news of the death by drowning of her brother-in-law, James Johnson, at Chanlersville,** Ill., last week, but has not been able to learn the particulars. Just a week prior to this another brother-in-law and a brother of the deceased, W. D. Johnson, of Boone, was stricken with paralysis and as a consequence unable to attend the funeral, lying in a stupor and like a dead person, though physicians say not critical. His daughter-in-law, Mrs. I. D. Johnson, also of Boone, went to Illinois to be present at the funeral of her uncle." **Editorial note - there is no Chanlersville but there is a Chandlerville.
