THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, October 15, 1959, page 1, column 5. "WALTER B. HOSTETLER - Walter B. Hostetler**, son of John and Ann Hostetler, was born on a farm near Maxwell on June 29th, 1883, and passed away at his home in Oregon City, Oregon, the 25th of September 1959 at the age of 76 years and 3 months. When a young man he went and settled in Oregon, where he remained until death. On July 17th, 1926, he was united in marriage to Winifred Ware. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Winifred; one sister, Mrs. Kathryn Doolittle of Des Moines; one brother N. G. Hostetler of Maxwell and several nieces and nephews. Last rites were held from the Hillside Chapel with Rev. M. J. Raleigh officiating.
