THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, November 12, 1942, page 1, column 2. "FORMER MAXWELL MAN BURIED. - Frank Hardenbrook, 72, retired Milwaukee baggageman,** died at his home in Marion, Monday, November 1. Funeral services and burial in Marion.** Deceased was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hardenbrook, pioneer residents of Maxwell. He was born at Iowa Center and grew to manhood in Maxwell. He began his work with the Chicago & Milwaukee railroad company, when a very young man and continued in its employe** until a few years ago when he retired. He is survived by his widow and two sons, Leon of Marengo and Clayton of Cedar Rapids. Frank was always loyal to his home town and his boyhood friends, returning each year for the Home Coming and Old Settlers picnic, until last year when ill health prevented his coming." **Editorial note - spelling used is from the original newspaper article. Not known if death and burial in Marion, Linn County, Iowa or Marion, Waupaca County, Wisconsin.
