OBITUARY
HARLEY SORG
Funeral services for Harley H. Sorg, 75, native of this community and druggist here at one time, who died at his home in Marion, Iowa, Thursday morning, Feb. 27 were held at the Hawkeye Methodist church Saturday afternoon March 1. The Rev. James -able, Oelwein, assisted by the Rev. Hansel Schmitz pastor officiated.
Mrs. H. H. Engel --------, was organist and Alice Krueger and --win --uer. ------sang. Burial was made in the Hawkeye cemetery.
Harley Henry Sorg, son of Fred and Sarah Burkhart Sorg, was born Dec. 26, 1882 in --nks township, Fayette county, Iowa. He grew to manhood in this community and was pharmacist of the Sorg and Burkhart Drug store where until about 30 years ago when with his family he move to Tripoli. After his retirement he moved to Marion.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Bopp Sorg, one son, N. F. Sorg, pharmacist at Marion, one sister, Mrs. Clara Knox, Hawkeye, one brother Ralph Sorg, Minneapolis, and two grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert, in 1953, one brother, Arthur Sorg of Maynard in 1952, and one sister, Millie in 1---.
Mr. Sorg served in the state legislature two years.
