JOSEPHINE M. GREGG

LORING--Funeral services for Josephine M. Gregg were held Jan. 26 at 2:00 p. m. from the Loring E. U. B. church with the Rev. E. R. Walter officiating. Music was provided by Iva Reeves and Gladys Lundstrom.

Casket bearers were John Lundstrom, Dean Henning, Ray Howell, Clarence Link, Bert Underhill and Curtis Carr. Interment was in the Loring cemetery.

Life Sketch

Josphine Marie Ball, daughter of Fred E. and Cora R. Ball, was born in Stuart, Iowa July 9, 1906 and died on Jan 23, 1958 at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 51 year. She grew to young womanhood in the Stuart community and graduated from the local school in 1923.

She worked for the local newspaper until her marriage to Paul Varner in 1928. To this union, one daughter, Betty Jo, was born.

In February of 1937 she was united in marriage to Wesley L. Gregg. The first six years of their marriage was spent on a farm near Panora. In December of 1943 they moved to their present home near Maxwell.

She joined the Congregational church at Stuart at an early age, later transferring her membership to the Presbyterian church at Panora and at the time of her death she was a member of the Loring Evangelical United Brethren church.

She is survived by her husband, Wesley, her daughter Betty Jo Agee, a step-daughter Jean Grant, four grandchildren, her mother, four sisters and one brother, besides a host of relatives and friends.
