MRS. DORA COREY

COLLINS -- Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Ryan Funeral home in Nevada for Mrs. Dora Corey who died early Monday morning at the Story Count Hospital.

The Rev. John L. Alexander of the Collins Methodist Church officiated and Mrs. Earl Robinson furnished and Mrs. Earl Robinson furnished organ music. Flowers were cared for by Patricia Caulkins, Leon Kracht and Hazel Holmes.

Interment was in Fort Dodge Saturday after cremation.

Life Sketch

Dora Mae Reed Corey was born July 26, 1874 at Wataga, Ill. and was the youngest of a family of nine children and the last one to survive.

She was married to Fred A. Corey at Ft. Dodge on April 5, 1899 and to this union were born four children, two sons having died in infancy and two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Schmidt of Berwyn, Ill., Mrs. Dewey (Ann) Kern of Collins.

They lived in Ft. Dodge for a number of years when Mr. Corey died 1942. Mrs. Corey has lived with her daughter and family in Collins the last six years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Ft. Dodge and of the Presbyterian Church there and was active in both organizations.

She is survived by two daughters, one granddaughter, Shirley Ann Kern of Collins.
