Last Rites Held For Mrs. Norvel Mills

Funeral services for Mrs. Norvel Mills of Nevada were held from the Ryan Funeral Home, Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Elder H. B. Davis officiating.

Two sons "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden" were sung by Mrs. Elmer Anderson, Mrs. Otho Kirk, Carol Culver and Laurence Johnston accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Fred Metzger.

The casket bearers were Frank Arnett, Elmer Anderson, H. G. Biggers, Walter Caviness, Albert Oleson and Marvin Smith, Sr.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Clara May Mills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theophilus Vincent, was born Feb. 15, 1880, in Lacona, Warren county and died at the Story County Hospital in Nevada, Friday, Nov. 12 at the age of 74 years, eight months and 28 days.

While living near Liberty Center she became a member of Seventh Day Adventist church. On Sept. 8, 1898 she was united in marriage to Norvel Mills and to this union were born three daughters, Grace and Minnie of Nevada, the third daughter Flossie, preceding her in death, Aug. 29, 1938. She also leaves two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Clarence H. Vincent of Lacona, Ia.
