Funeral Services Held Sunday for Winifred L. Graham

Maxwell, Mar. 13--Funeral services for Miss Winifred Graham, 52, who died at Iowa sanitarium in Nevada early Saturday, were held at the Methodist Episcopal church in Maxwell Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. Judson Perkins in charge, assisted by Mrs. Perkins. Burial ws in the Graham cemetery near Mungo.

There were many relatives and friends from a distance present for the service; including several from Nevada, where the sister Mrs. Edna Gifford lives.

Winifred Leota, daughter of John K. and Perlina Jane Graham, was born on a farm near Mingo, Iowa, on January 12, 1887 and died in Nevada, Iowa, on March 11, 1939; aged 52 years, 1 month and 27 days. She had never had robust health. Complications following an attack of flu resulted in her death.

Until about twenty years ago she lived of the farm near Farrar. The family then moved to Maxwell where she has resided ever since. She never married.

When sixteen years old she was converted and united with the Methodist Protestant Church at Buena Vista, Iowa. When they moved to Maxwell she united with the Methodist church and has been a devoted member through the years. She has been an active member of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society and of the Birthday Club of the Church, being treasurer of the former organization. She had lived an earnest Christian life and was devoted to her home and parents.

Surviving are her parents, one sister (Edna) Gifford, of Nevada; one brother, George W. Graham of Lisbon, Iowa; two nieces and one nephew. Many other relatives and a large circle of friends also mourn for her.
