Zearing, Nov. 10 -- Funeral services were held Thursday at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing for Miss Nellie May Shultz, with Rev. R. E. Kerney in charge. Burial was made in the Hubbard cemetery.
Pallbearers were M. E. Dakins, A. P. Couser, Everett Wickham, Sam Oaks, Delos Cerka and H. O. Wickham.
Music was furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Mr. Jerry Hankins, Mrs. Harry Martin, Gilbert Womeldorff and Glenn McBride. Mrs. Lyle Bailey was at the piano. The flower ladies were Mrs. J. H. Adams and Mrs. H. A. Cerka.
Miss Nellie May Shultz, daughter of Benjamin and Susana Shultz was born at Juda, Green county, Wisconsin on Dec. 28, 1865 and died at the home of her brother-in-law, A. L. Grimm, on Nov. 4, 1941, at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 6 days. She was the fourth in a family of 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
When she was 12 years of age the family moved to Ridott, Ill., from which they moved six years later to Hubbard, Ia. Nellie has lived at Forest City and Jewell Junction, but has made her home during the last 35 years in the Grimm home. She had been in poor health during the later years of her life, especially during the past five years.
Miss Shultz is survived by one brother and two sisters, Mannie Shultz of Mitchell, S. D., Mrs. Henry Schryner of Zearing and Mrs Nettie Samis of Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of the Methodist church.
