Funeral Services Held at Colo for Mrs. Glen J. Myers
Funeral services for Mrs. Glenn J. Myers, 19, who passed away at the Iowa sanitarium early Sunday morning, were held at 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon at the Colo Methodist church, with the pastor, Rev. Proett, in charge. Burial was in the Colo cemetery.
The following life sketch of the deceased was read during the services:
Bernice Lois Jean Savage was born at Zooksbur, Ia., on Oct. 10, 1920 and passed away June 2, 1940 at the Iowa sanitarium, of childbirth and convulsions. She was the second child of Berniece and Thomas Savage. She grew up in the town of Madrid, coming to Nevada in the fall of 1938 to seek employment, living here since.
She was united in marriage to Glenn J. Myers, second son of Emmitt and Mable Myers on Aug. 12, 1939.
To this union one child, a daughter named Karen Lee was born and died with the mother during the ordeal of birth.
Preceding her in death was her father who passed away in 1934 and a brother in 1923.
Left to mourn her death are her husband, her mother and step-father, Mrs. and Mrs. John Sliger; 3 sisters, Mrs. Sarah Jensen, Miss Maxine Savage and Miss Shirley Savage who is critically ill at Iowa City. Ther are also two half-brothers, John and Richard Sliger and 3 nieces, Darlyne Myers, Judith Nolta and Amelia Jensen.
