Funeral Servics for Peter Soderstrum

Kelley, March 4--Funeral services for Peter Soderstrum, 70, was held at his farm home near here at his Sunday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Clarence Anderson, pastor of the Congregational church officiating. Burial was in the Ames cemetery.Mr. Soderstrum passed away at his farm home where he had lived for 40 years, two miles west of Kelley on Friday night, at 8:30 p. m. His death was due to heart trouble, from which he had been suffering.
Mr. Soderstrum was born March 25, 1865, in Sweden and came to America with his parents at the age of three.
The family resided in Illinois for a short time, then came to Story county, where Mr. Soderstrum has since resided.
He is survived by his wife*, one daughter, Mrs. O. S. Tyler of Kelley and three sons, Guy of Luther, Marlin, living near the Soderstrum place, and Floyd, living at home.
The boys' quartett, Gerald Sutter, LeRoy Brendeland, Glen Accola and Kenneth Craig sang "Over There" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."
