THE DES MOINES REGISTER, August 27, 1995, page 7. Obituary: "Viola Laverna Friedrickson, 87, of Bondurant died of cancer Friday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bondurant Federated Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Bondurant Cemetery. Mrs. Friedrickson was born in Lanyon and had lived in central Iowa many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Polk County Farm Bureau. Survivors include her husband, Virgil; two daughters, Marilyn Paine and Audrey Eshelman, both of Altoona; a son, Ronald of Bondurant; two sisters, Georgia Peterson of Harcourt and Imogene Hanson of Dayton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Altoona Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or her church."
