THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, April 8 1915. "MRS. HARRIET FISHER - Harriet Lint, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Lint, was born in Summerset** County, Penn., July 17, 1843, and departed this life at Maxwell, March 30, 1915, being seventy-one years, eight months and thirteen days old at the time of her death. She moved with her parents to Iowa in the spring of 1863. On January 13, 1865, she was united in marriage to Edward Fisher. Five children were born to this union, four of whom are living: Mrs. Keziah Cummings, of Fort Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Rosa Hammerly, of Albany, Ore.; Mrs. Elizabeth Carr, of Mitchellville, Iowa, and Mrs. Viola Parker, of near Elmore, Minn. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister. In early childhood she united with the Evangelical church of which she remained a member until the end, dying in the faith of the Master she had served through the years, saying to those who were at her bedside during her last hours, "If it is the Lord's will, I am ready to go." The deceased had been sick during the past two years most of the time, and two weeks before the removal of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Parker, to Minnesota, with whom she had mace her home for the past twelve years since the death of her husband she took sick and was unable to go. She remained with friends in Maxwell, intending to join her daughter shortly in the new home in Northern Iowa, but contracting a severe cold, it rapidly developed into pneumonia, which brought the end of the earth life - the beginning of life beyond and the reward of faithfulness in the Master's service. Funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian church by Dr. Walton Friday, April 2d, and interment was made in the Maxwell cemetery." ** Editorial note, the spelling should be Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
