Levi Hart Dead; Buried at Maxwell
Maxwell, Oct. 18 -- The body of Levi Hart was shipped here from Niles, Mich., arriving Thursday morning. The funeral service was held in the Cooper Funeral chapel at 4 o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. C. E. Burdine in charge. Burial was made in the Maxwell cemetery.
Levi Hart, a son if Britain was born in Canada in 1860 and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Keefer, South Bend, Ind., on Oct. 12, 1940, but little past 80 years of age.
He came to Iowa when he was 23 years of age and engaged in road work, living in Rhodes and Collins and in 1906 moved to Sac City. His wife preceded him in death some 40 years ago.
He is survived by one daughter Mrs. Keefer, 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Glenn Weaver of Buchanan, Mich.; Mrs. Ruben Blad of Warsaw, Ind.; Keith Wright of Sioux Falls, S. D., and six great grandchildren. A cousin Mrs. Aggie Barton lives in Altoona.
