Obituaries

Gladys A. Rhoads
February 19, 1910, to August 29, 1994

Gladys A. Rhoads, 84, of Maxwell, died of Pneumonia at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames.

She was born to Bert A. and Lottie M. (Wescott) O'Neil in Collins. On April 29 1933, she married Clyde Rhoads in Colo. They lived in Indianola prior to 1981 where they farmed for over forty years. She lived in Maxwell for ten years prior to spending her last three years at Rolling Green Village, Nevada.

She was a member of the Maxwell Christian Church, Maxwell.

Survivors include one sister, Maude Patterson of Maxwell; two brothers: Charles O'Neil of Blue Earth, Minn., and Virgil O'Neil of Lorimer; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde; one sister, Opal Miller; and one brother, Edwin O'Neil.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 31, at Cooper Funeral Home, Maxwell, with Dr. Fred C. Danforth officiating. Burial was in Collins Evergreen Cemetery, Collins.

Cooper Funeral Home, Maxwell, was in charge of arrangements.
