THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, August 1. 1901, page 4, column 4. "D. O Daswon received the sad intelligence Tuesday of the death of his brother Thomas Dawson, of Van Couver**, Washington, which occurred June 30th. No particulars were given. Mr. Dawson will be remembered as having spent several years here with his brother, D. O. recently assisting him at his trade. He returned to Washington only two years ago. The TRIBUNE unites with the many friends in expressing our heartfelt sympathy to the relatives in the loss sustained. **Editorial note - spelling is from the newspaper article.
