Funeral Services For Mrs. Glen Scott Held At Maxwell

Maxwell, Nov. 19 -- Funeral services for Ida Gertrude Scott, 54, wife of Glen Scott, who died early Tuesday morning at her home after a lingering illness, were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Church of Christ, with her pastor, Rev. H. D. Darling of Atlantic.

A quartette composed of Mrs. C. I. Kirk, Mrs. Ray Gooden, O. O. Holtby and Clark John sang three hymns, "No Night There," "Someday We'll Understand," and "Under His Wings." The pall bearers were J. M. Atterberry, Robert Postal, E. L. Wood, C. I. Kirk, O. F. Strombeck and Glen Cummings. Floral offerings were most beautiful and profuse, the silent expression of love and sympathy in the passing of the wife and mother.

The following brief obituary was read by the pastor.

"Ida Gertrude Lee, daughter of James and Sarah J. Lee, was born near Cambridge, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. On March 4, 1915, she was united in marriage to Glen M. Scott of Maxwell where she since had made her home. To this union were born, Sarah Elizabeth, now Mrs. Arthur Porter, and Juanita Gaye who passed away January 25, 1924. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, one daughter, one sister, three brothers and a host of of relatives and friends. Interment was in the family lot in the Maxwell cemetery.
