THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, January 20, 1927, page 1, column 2. "ROMAYNE W. CONSTABLE. - Romayne W. Constable, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Contsable**, formerly of this vicinity, now of Panora, passed away at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, Wednesday morning of last week, following an operation. Deceased was born at Ottawa, Kans., April 8, 1904, and at the time of his death was twenty-two years, nine months and four days old. When three years of age he came with his parents to Norwalk, Iowa, and has resided since that time at Maxwell, Redfield, Panora and Des Moines. At the time of his death he was employed in the office of the Bankers Life Insurance Co., where he had been for the past three years, having received several promotions during that time. He was a graduate of Guthrie County high school and was taking a course in certified public accounting at the University when he was taken ill last September and which he would have completed this year had he lived. Romayne was active in civic, religious and fraternal circles of Des Moines. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and Y. M. C. A. In September last year he joined Moingona Lodge, A. F. & A. M. and had received the third degree. The body was taken to Panora and funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church Friday morning with Rev. F. G. Barnes in charge. The body was then taken to Des Moines and interement** was made at Glendale cemetery. The Masonic Lodges of Panora and Des Moines conducted impressive services at both the church and cemetery. Deceased is survived by his father and mother and one brother, Corlyss." **Editorial note - spelling is used from the original newspaper article.
