THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, October 10, 1901, page 10, column 1. "Kelley. -….Mrs. Carroll living west of town, died Saturday evening of consumption, and was buried in the Boone cemetery Monday, funeral services were held in the Catholic church of Boone. Mrs. Carroll was quite an aged lady and has been a patient sufferer for some time. She leaves two sons to mourn her loss, to them the community extends its sincere sympathy"
