THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, September 11, 1902, page 1, column 2. "Truly in the midst of life we are in death.Sunday another old settler was buried at Collins, Levi Brown, who was about seventy-nine years of age. About all the pioneers of 1855 and 1856 are gone. In 1855 our cemetery contained but one, Zeno Pearson, and now it is almost numberless. The rich and poor sleep alike undisturbed and no family hardly but who have a dear spot here and there in the Peoria City cemetery."
