MISS INGA SAND PASSES AWAY
Young Lady, Formerly Resident of This Place Passed Away Last Wednesday From Heart Failure At Des Moines. Had Been Delicate From Childhood.
Friends here learned with sorrow last Thursday of the death of Miss Inga Sand at Des Moines the previous evening. Miss Sand had been in delicate health since childhood and the final cause of her death was heart failure. Together with her sister they had come to Des Moines from Colorado, where they had a claim, with a view to securing medical aid.
Miss Sand was born in Chicago, June 21, 1879 and died May 1, 1912 being 32 years, 1 month and 10 days old. When but an infant her mother died and with her father and sister moved to Roland and later to Story City. After her death, the remains were brought to Story City where funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from Immanuel Church, Rev. G. O. Paulsrud preaching the funeral sermon. The remains were laid to rest in Fairview cemetery at Story City.
