Funeral Services For Mrs. William Rogers Held in Zearing

Zearing, Aug. 3--Funeral services for William T. Rogers, 59, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 in the Bethel Evangelical church with Rev. R. A. Dennart officiating. Pall bearers were Ronald Reese, Hans Stuehrk, Jesee Bryant, Clifton Carver, Clarence Bump and Homer Stone. Mrs. Walter Lund was at the piano. Glenn McBride, Fred Smith, Mrs. Veva Cook and Mrs. Mildred Tillotson sang.

The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Lela Madison and Mrs. Mary Gardiner.

Obituary

Mrs. Irma Barnard Rogers was born August 10, 1888 at Zearing, Iowa, living in Story county practically all her life. She taught school for several years. She was united in marriage to William T. Rogers on Feb. 25, 1920. To them were born five children. They lived near Maxwell for the first eight years of their life, ten months in California and then moved to Zearing which has since continued to be their home.

Survivors

Those surviving are her husband William T. Rogers, the five children George B. Rogers of Rochester, N. Y., Mary Luella of Pueblo, Colo., Edna May of Des Moines, Vianna and Mildred D---s both of Zearing, two brothers, Asa and Charles Barnard of Zearing and one sister, Mrs. Anna Harrison of Marshalltown. Preceding her in death ware her parents and two sisters, Nancy and Ella.

Mrs. Rogers passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 1948 at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 11 days. She was a member in good standing at the Bethel Evangelical U. B. Church in Zearing having ---------- Christ as her Savior and joining the church on July 22, 1905. She served her God and church in many ways and was especially interested in missions. She served as president of the K.L.C.F., former president of the women's missionary society, a Sunday school teacher and was ----sent teaching one of the adult Sunday school classes. Her passing is mourned by many friends who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved in this time of sorrow.

Harrison, Vonne Harrison of Marshalltown, Aix Harrison of Springfield, Ill., Chester Herman and Parker Gray all of Sheridan, Ind., Mrs. Clarence Reischauer, Blue Earth, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnard, Jr., of State Center, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bailey of Hubbard, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. King, Mr. and Mrs. Porter King of Colo., Miss Ruth King of Marshalltown, Mrs. Vie Crouter of Cedar Falls, Dr. and Mrs. Frank Henry of Traer, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Croft, Blairstown, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Whitaker, Mrs. A. C. Kingsbury, Mrs. Thora Christiansen of Nevada, Sam McCoy of Des Moines, Mrs. Ilo Beach of Marshalltown, Dan Holueck, Monica Boston and Nomran page of Webster City and possibly others.
