Harold Bovee Rites Are Held In Church

Services for Harold Bovee, 53, former Marshall county resident, who died early last Friday of heart attack at his home in West Plains, Mo., were held at the Congregational church at 2 p.m. Monday in charge of Rev. Homer A. Doak.

Burial was in the Green Mountain cemetery. The body arrived in Marshalltown Sunday and was taken to the Estel funeral home.

Mr. Bovee was born Oct. 8, 1895 near Green Mountain, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Isenhart Bovee. He was reared in that community and spent most of his life there. In World War I he served for several months in the army and returned to Marshall county following that service.

On Nov. 8, 1941, he was married to Lucile Phelps Randall and they lived near Quarry until 1944 when they moved to West Plains.

Surviving besides the widow are his father, Frank L. Bovee of Mason City; two brothers, Ben of Lombard, Ill., and Lloyd of Elgin, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Conner of Marshalltown and Ms. Harry Harding of Colo, and three stepchildren, Carol, Janice and Donald of West Plains.

Military honors were accorded at the grave by a ceremonial team from Frank Lewis Glick Post No. 46, American Legion.
