Hold Final Services For John Jagerson
Funeral services for John Jagerson of Madelia, Minn., were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Riis Funeral home in Slater.
Rev. Buland of Cambridge had charge of the services. Miss Margaret Fritz sang two solos, "The Lord Is My Shepherd" and "Abide With Me." The pall bearers were Kermit Askland of St. Ansgar, Iowa, Jimmy Woods of Cambridge, Howard, Ole, Clifford and Harold Jagerson, all of Madrid. Burial was made in the Slater cemetery. Funeral services were also held at Madelia on Monday frm the Sanburg Funeral home.
Obituary
John Jagerson was born March 25, 1870 near Sheldahl and died April 30, at his home in Madelia, Minn., at the age of 79 years, one month and five days. His parents were Ole and Charlotta Jagerson. His marriage to Miss Godelia Highland of Slater took place September 15, 1909. They lived near Slater until 1910, where they moved at Bricelyn, Minn., where they lived on a farm until March 1, 1948, when they retired from farming and moved to Madelia, Minnesota.
About seven years ago he suffered a stroke and was bed fast until his death, caused from heart trouble and complications.
Survivors
He is survived by his wife and six children, Cyrus Jagerson of Fairmont, Minn., Mrs. Percy Jose of Madelia, Minn., Miss Laura Jagerson of Minneapolis, Minn., Gerald Jagerson of Bricelyn, Minn., Mrs. H. A. Engle of Jamestown, N. D. and James, who had just finished his basic training at Camp Chaffee, Ark., and is now at Fort Bliss, Texas. Six grandchildren also survive, two brothers, Carl Jagerson of Madrid and Albert Jagerson of Bricelyn, Minn., two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Woods of Slater and Mrs Emma Askland of Reeder, N. D., and a number of nieces.

Relative and friends attended the services from Fort Bliss, Texas, Bricelyn, Minn., Jamestown, N. D., Minneapolis, Minn., Fairmont, Minn., Madelia, Minn., Reeder, N. D., St. Ansgar, Iowa, Madrid, Alleman, Des Moines, Scranton, Maxwell, Huxley, Elkhart, Cambridge and Kelley.
