THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, September 1, 1949, page 1, column 4. "FLOYD BELL PASSED AWAY SUNDAY. - Floyd Bell, 58, passed away in the hospital in Newton on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock of a heart ailment. He is survived by his wife Eva, three step children and five step grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Morgan Funeral Home in Newton on Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock with Rev. G. H. Hulsebus in charge. Burial was in the Collins cemetery. Among those attending the services from Maxwell were: Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jacobson and Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pring, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bell, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Swarm, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robertson, Mrs. Flora Warrell, Clarence Warrell, Roy Hennick, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Partridge, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Partridge, Mrs. Wayne Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Young and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dobson."
