THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, February 22, 1906, page 1, column 6. "Obituary - George Lyman , son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ayers, whose death was announced in last week's TRIBUNE, was born in Des Moines July 10, 1905, and died February 13, 1906, aged seven months and three days. The child was taken with pneumonia on Saturday and died the following Tuesday. The remains were shipped to Maxwell Wednesday and taken from here to Iowa Center, where the funeral was conducted by Rev. Thos. M. Evans, of Des Moines, assisted by Rev. D. C. Busenberg. Rev. Evans was pastor of the Iowa Center church twenty years ago. He left on the evening train for Des Moines Wednesday, but Mr. and Mrs. Ayers remained over night at Mr. ___ __ard's home. The Ayers family are known to many of our readers, having formerly lived in this community and they will have the sincere sympathy of a large circle of friends in their sad hours."
