Services Held Tuesday For Mrs. J. Troutner

Funeral services for Mrs. John Troutner, lifetime resident of the Colo Community was held on Tuesday afternoon, April 20, at 1:30 p.m., with prayer service at the home and 2:00 p.m. at the United Brethren Evangelical Church, with the Rev. Leo Wilson officiating. Mrs. Wayne Handsaker, sang two songs, "God's Tomorrow" and "Abide With Me," accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Schnur. There were many beautiful floral offerings.

Pallbearers were George Buffington Jr., Clifford Buffington, Winifred Chultz, Victor McKinney, John Andrew and Glen Olson. Burial was in Colo Cemetery.

Relatives and friends in attendance at the funeral were from Waterville, Minn., Council Bluffs, Gilman, Marshalltown, Rhodes, Nevada, Collins, Ellsworth, Ames, Des Moines, Norwalk, Davenport, Albia and Colo, Iowa.

Obituary

Ella Hattie Troutner, daughter of Isaac and Agnes Coughenour, was born May 20, 1908, and died April 17, 1954, at the Story County Hospital in Nevada, at the age of 45 years, 10 months and 28 days.

On March 20, 1930, she was united in marriage to John Troutner and to this union were born two children, Delores, at home, and Marie, Mrs. Charles Miller of Colo. Preceding her in death a sister Marie and her father Isaac. Her childhood days were spent in the Dalton community.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband John, and daughters Marie and Delores, her Mother, Mrs. Agnes Coughenour of Colo, nephews and nieces and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Troutner was a kind and loving mother and wife and had devoted her life in making her surroundings happy for all whom knew her.
