FORMER NEVADA MAN IS DEAD

HARRY W. SMITH LAID TO REST IN NEVADA CEMETERY

Harry W. Smith, 52, former Story county man and son of Mrs. Laura Smith of 1127 Seventh street, who died at Mercy hospital Des Moines, Tuesday, following an appendicitis operation, will be buried in the Nevada cemetery this afternoon. It is expected that the funeral party will arrive at the cemetery at about 4:00, where it will be met by local friends.

Funeral services will be held at a funeral home in Des Moines at 2:00 today, with Rev. Frank Case, pastor of the Galilee Baptist church in charge.

The deceased is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Smith and daughter, Mrs. Charles Measham, both of Des Moines, as well as his mother, Mrs. Laura Smith and sisters Mrs. Karl Cessna and Mrs. Fred W. Nelson of Nevada and Mrs. Lillian Sherk of Chicago.

The latter arrived from Chicago Wednesday morning and all will be present at the funeral.

The deceased lived in Nevada as a boy, being a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Smith. He had been located in Des Moines, where he head conducted a dairy, for a number of year and had frequently visited with the family in Nevada.
