Minnie Kassell Dies; Burial at Collins
COLLINS:-- Funeral services were held in the Christian church Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. for Mrs. Minnie Kassell, former resident of Collins, who died at her home in Perry, Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1957. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Westcott, born at Dunbar, Nebr., June 23rd, 1889. On August 20th, 1908 she was married to Charles Kassell who died in 1950.
She is survived by a son Robert and a brother, Joe Westcott, of Perry. Rev. Ellis Martin of the Christian church officiated at the services and Mrs. Max Dodd sang two songs, "Abide With Me" and "In the Garden" with Mrs. Fred Mead accompanying her on the piano.
Casket bearers were: Floyd Oswalt, Harvey Westcott, Russell Oswalt, Howard Evans, Henry Dodd and Norman Partridge.
Mrs. Floyd Oswalt and Mrs. Harvey Westcott cared for the flowers.
Burial was in the Collins Evergreen cemetery.
