Respectd Story City Resident Laid to Rest

Jacob C. Jacobson died at his home in Story City March 24th at the age of seventy-six years. Mr. Jacobson was a native of Moklebust Uskedalen, Kvinherred, Norway and emigrated to this county in 1867, locating at Clinton county. In 1871 he moved to Gardner, Ill., where he was united in marriage to Miss Josephine Olson in 1872. Four years later they moved to Iowa moving to a farm one mile north of Gilbert, where they lived until 1905, when they moved to Story City. He is survived by his wife and seven children, Severt of Kanawha, Nels of Gilbert, Martha, Josie, Jacob, Ben and Susan of Story City. The funeral services were held at St. Petri church on Tuesday, March 28th, the funeral sermon being in charge of his pastor, Rev. J. N. Andersen.
