JOHN W. BOYD DIES SUDDENLY

Former Resident of This Community Passed Away from Heart Failure last Friday Evening at Sioux Falls

The sad news was received here last Saturday from Sioux Falls, that John W. Boyd had passed away the previous night from an attack of heart failure. Coming as it did, so shortly after the sad death of Miss Emma Boyd, the news was so much more shocking to the relatives of Mr. Boyd. The deceased had been at the Mrs. K. P. Boyd home the previous week in attendance at the funeral of his cousin and at that time he was the picture of health and no one could suspicion that this would be his last visit here.

John W. Boyd was the son of the late Anfin Boyd, who lived northeast of here many years ago and later at Cambridge and Radcliffe, and was about fifty years of age. For many years he has lived in South Dakota and about three years ago moved into Sioux Falls, where his wife died a few months later. Mr. Boyd was a nephew of the late K. P. Boyd of this place and of P. P. Boyd of Story City. He leaves to mourn his death, his brothers, Ole and Peter Boyd of Radcliffe, Peter Boyd of Sioux Falls; his sisters, Mrs. B. M. Benson, Mrs. Severt Hetland of Radcliffe and Mrs. Julia Jorgenson of Gary. S. D.

Funeral services were held at Sioux Falls on Tuesday and internment took place beside his wife.
