DEATH OF FORMER ROLAND MAN
Former Roland Resident Passes Away From Pneumonia At Sioux Falls Hospital.
H. G. Wilson, a son of Mrs H. F. Wilson of this place, passed away last Saturday at a hospital at Sioux Falls, S. D., after an illness of only a week with pneumonia. His mother, Mrs. Wilson, and brother, Fred Wilson, went to Sioux Falls last week and were with him when the end came.
Mr. Wilson was born on the old Wilson Homestead four miles north of Roland, July 22, 1888, where he grew to manhood. About 12 years ago he moved to South Dakota where he has been engaged in business. The past year he has lived at Sioux Falls and was state agent for the Rumely tractors
Three years ago his wife died leaving him with four children, Arlene, Henry, Lemont and Pearl, who are now left as orphans. He also leaves his aged mother, Mrs H. F. Wilson; two sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Olson and Mrs T. H. Wicks of near this place; three brothers, Andrew Wilson of Hazel, S. D., Ben Wilson of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Fred Wilson of this place, besides numerous other relatives to mourn his untimely death.
The funeral was held from the Lutheran Church at Jewel yesterday afternoon after which internment took place in the jewels Cemetery beside his wife.
