Ethlyn Stahlman
Oct. 3, 1898 to June 23, 2004

Ethlyn Stahlman, 105, of Nevada, died at Rolling Green Village in Nevada on Wednesday, June 23, 2004. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 26, 200 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial followed at Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.

Ethlyn Stahlman was born on October 3, 1898 to Turner H. and Ella May (Whiteman) Lock in Gridley, Illinois. She lived in Nevada, Story County most of her life. She married Harvey L. Stahlman on October 29, 1919 in a farm home in rural Nevada, Iowa. Ethlyn worked as a retail clerk for Dillin's Dept. Store in Nevada for 20 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #48, Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Sorosis Club and First United Methodist Church in Nevada. Ethlyn enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and making ceramics. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Ethlyn will be greatly missed by so many for her love of life, her sense of humor and adventure.

Ethlyn is survived by her son Paul Stahlman of Sunrise Beach, MO; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey on November 23, 1964; her son, Junior Stahlman on December 23, 1993; a grandson, Douglas Stahlman in 1954 and eight brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.
