INJURIES PROVE FATAL
Rasmus Thorson Dies from Injury Received in Accident
Rasmus Thorson, who was so seriously injured Wednesday in a tractor while threshing at the Goodman Hall farm, died Friday noon without regaining consciousness.
Thorson was the victim of an unusual accident. While making an attempt to start a tractor engine Thorson was holding to the end of a thirty foot rope and the engine backfired, he was jerked toward the engine his head striking the bull wheel with such force that is skull was fractured and concussion followed.
He leaves to mourn his death a young wife, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Severt Arneson, and a host of relatives living in Illinois. Mr. Thorson came here from Illinois a few years ago and has been working the Severt Arneson farm south of town.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from Salems church. Interment took place in the Roland Cemetery.
