OBITUARIES

Bessie M. Lowe
Dec. 23, 1906, to June 5, 1991

Bessie Marie Lowe, 84, of Nevada died at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames of a heart ailment.

She was born to William and Nellie (Mickley*) Wbited in Ringgold County. She married Dillard Lowe on Feb. 18, 1928, in Nevada, where she lived for 36 years. She retired in 1966 from the Iowa State Univeristy Food Service.

Survivors include her husband Dillard of Nevada; four sons, Delbert, Elbert, Wayne and Robert, all of Nevada; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Whited of Anamosa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, one son, one daughter, three grandsons and one great-grandson.

Visitation was held Friday at the Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Chet Ryan Mortuary. Burial was in the Maxwell Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
