Funeral Service Fro Mrs. W. C. Foreman Held In Washington

Funeral service for Mrs. W. C. Foreman, long time resident of Nevada, who passed away August 30, were held at Walla Walla, Washington.

The following brief life story has been sent the Nevada Journal by the daughter, Helen Foreman Little.

"Helen Harwood Rothwell was born January 4, 1868, in White Willow, Illinois, the daughter of William Rothwell and Harriet Heywood Rothwell. She was a child in a family of that included four daughters and six sons, four of whom survive today--Mrs. Eliza Hannah Shields of John Day, Oregon; Mrs. U. Bender of Coldwater, Michigan; Arthur Rothwell of Miami, Florida; and James Rothwell of San Diego, California.

"Helen Rothwell joined the Seventh-day Adventist church while a young woman and was employed variously by the Illinois Conference of Seventh-day Adventists as an office worker, Bible worker, colporteur and evangelical worker.

"While in Chicago she met Walter C. Foreman and was married to him in 1902. To them were born two daughters, Lois Dorothy (now Mrs. Oliver Beltz) and Helen Rothwell (now Mrs. T. A. Little), and a son Walter Cyril, Jr., all of whom, with their father, were present at the funeral service. Other survivors include a grandson Walter Cyril III.

"Mr. and Mrs. Foreman moved from Moline, Illinois, to Nevada in 1915, where he held the managership of the Iowa Sanitarium until 1923. They continued living in Nevada until November of last year, when they moved College Place, Washington.

"Early in the morning on August 30, after a brief and relatively painless sickness, Mrs. Foreman went to sleep. Throughout her days, Mrs. Foreman's life was marked by an evenness of the highest Christian character. Her circle of relatives and friends have been blessed by her usefulness, cheerful faith, and unfailing devotion."

Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery, College Place, Washington. Services were in charge of Elder M. L. Andreasen, assisted by Elder Francis M. Burg.
