Eph Smith Buried Thursday Afternoon

Funeral services for Ephraim Smith, 61, Iowa Center man, who died at the University hospital, Iowa City, Tuesday, August 23, were held at the Iowa Center Evangelical church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, in charge of Rev. C. C. Miner and interment was in the Iowa Center cemetery.

Epharim Smith was born east of Iowa Center, April 10, 1866 and died at the University hospital in Iowa City Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1927 at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 10 days.

He was the youngest son of Ephraim and Cindy Smith, who preceded him in death, also two brothers, Joe and Johnny and one sister, Lurinda.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Effie Smith of Iowa Center, one step-daughter Mrs. Ethel Fry and three grandchildren of Iowa Center, two brothers Isaac of Colo, Iowa, William of Kansas and one sister Mrs. Jannie Haynes of Lynch, Nebr., and a host of friends and neighbors.
