Anderson--Died in the Hospital at Wichita, Kansas, February 3, 1918, Mrs. J. W. Anderson, aged 33 years, 8 months and 19 days. Bessie Arlie Griffin was born at Humboldt, Kansas, May 14, 1884. When she was two and a half years old her parents came to Wichita, Kansas, and about ten years later they moved to Battle Creek, Michigan, at which place she was converted at the age of eighteen baptized and united with the Seventh-day Adventist church. About six years ago she moved to Nevada, and on November 15, 1916, she was united in marriage with J. W. Anderson, of Furley, Kansas. She leaves to mourn besides her husband, her mother who lived with her, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wilson of Nevada[, Iowa] and Mrs. Ida Ely of St. Johns, Kansas, other relatives and many friends, but they sorrow not without hope; before her death she consecrated herself, her home, and her loved ones to Jesus, and almost her last words were of him. The funeral service was held at the Seventh-day Adventist church in Wichita, and was conducted by Elder Wilson assisted by the pastor of the M. E. church. She was laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, by the side of her infant son buried three weeks before.
