FARMER DIED VERY SUDDENLY

ARTHUR WARREN, 62, FOUND DEAD IN HIS BED--FUNERAL SUNDAY MORNING

Nevada township farmer who was Nevada township farmer who was found dead in his bed Friday morning was held from the Evangelical church in this city, Sunday morning at 11:30 and interment was n the cemetery at Gilbert. Rev. Ramige was in charge.

Mr. Warren, a native of Mansfield, Illinois had been a resident of Story county for a number of years the last couple on the Shalley farm southeast of this city.

Friday morning he complained of not feeling well and Mrs. Warren advised him to remain in bed until she had built the fire and prepared breakfast. When she finally went to get him, she found him dead. She at once called the neighbors and a doctor but it was soon determined that life was extinct, he having passed away a victim of heart trouble.

Arthur Warren youngest son of Edward and Elizabeth Warren was born near Mansfield, Illinois, May 19, 1861 and departed this life at his home near Nevada, Jan. 18, 1924, aged 62 years, 7 months and 1 day.

On Oct. 17, 1883 he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Groomes near Mansfield, Ill., who passed away on May 29, 1904. To this union were born five children, Minnie May who died in infancy, Mrs. Rosa Cody who passed away Oct. 6, 1918. Those living are Edward and Oscar Warren and Mrs. Ethel Sills all of Ames.

He with these children moved to Iowa in Jan 1906 where they have since resided.

On Nov. 7, 1906, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Wave Welch. To this union were born six children, Ralph, Albert, Floyd, Earl, Willard and Dorothy and one step daughter, Mrs. Gladys Casperton of Casper, Wyo.

Arthur Warren united with the Church of Christ at Mansfield, Ill., on Sunday, March 17, 1872 and had been faithful member ever since.

He was a jovial disposition always looking for the pleasures of those around him. He was a faithful husband and father a good neighbor and always liked by all who met and knew him.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, nine children, two brothers, William Warren of Shellrock, Iowa and John Warren of Arrowsmith, Ill., thirteen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
