Obituary from Memorial Services of Iowa, Ankeny, Polk County, Iowa:

Eric Crabb, 48, of Des Moines, formerly of Colo, Iowa went to be with the Lord September 22, 2019.

Eric was born June 24, 1971 to Jim and Florine (Wetzel) Crabb in Des Moines, IA. He received his education from Colo High School where he participated in football. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in transportation logisitics, and he worked for several trucking companies over the years.

Eric loved biking and rode in RAGBRAI numerous years. He established many friendships through this sport. He was an avid Vikings and Cyclone fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He met his life partner, Tonia, in 2009 and has been together with her and her children, Dylan and Ryleigh, since then.

We are saddened that his life was shortened, yet we rejoice and praise God that he and Tonia accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Eric is survived by his life partner, Tonia and her children, Dylan and Ryleigh; father, Jim Crabb and step-mother, Sandra Stong-Crabb; siblings, Scott Crabb, Jim Crabb, Jr. and Anna (Jack) Rook. He is preceded in death by his mother, Florine, and both sets of grandparents.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Memorial Services of Iowa, 4208 N. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny, IA. Celebration of Life service will take place Thursday, September 26 at 3:00 pm at Memorial Services of Iowa. Interment in Collins Cemetery in Collins, IA will take place at a later date.
