OBITUARY OF FRANK BEACH
Zearing, Aug. 22--Frank Edward Beach was born in Polk county, Iowa, April 1, 1874 and died near Zearing August 17, 1927, aged 53 years, 4 months and 16 days. When twelve years of age he moved with his parents to the farm northwest of the city where he resided until married, he then moved to Zearing and lived there until his death. He was married September 21, 1895 to Miss Edith E. Jones. Three children were born to them they are Lyle, an attorney at Sioux City, Lloyd of Chicago and a daughter Beatrice, who is at home. Besides the children and wife he leaves his aged mother, Mrs. Alice Beach and two brothers Delbert and Earl of this vicinity. Mr. Beach possessed some very fine traits of character. He was very kind hearted and friendly, and an affectionate father. It was a special delight to him that his two sons were able to finish school a later work their way through law school. The manly sons and little daughter were a source of constant pride to him. He was a member of the Evangelical church and of the M. W. A. He had a deep reverence for God. The pastor at that time remembers very vividly the night after service a little over two years ago when he made his decision to come again as a follower of the Christ and began to attend church regularly. Friends bear witness that from that time he died his best to live an upright life, and though he had his trials and difficulties we believe he was doing his best to follow his Master. Death came suddenly while he was at work at the Turkington farm north of here. He had gone to put the bridal on one of the horses and dropped dead. His brother Earl found him just where he dropped. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Evangelical church conducted by Rev. F. R. Blakley of Red Oak assisted by Rev. Baumgardner of this place. Burial was made in the cemetery here. The mother, wife and family have the sympathy of the friends.
