PEEBLES FUNERAL MONDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Alfred Peeples, 55, overseas World War nurse, who died in a Veterans hospital at Los Angeles, Wednesday, will be held Monday afternoon at 12:30 at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames, followed by interment in the Pleasant Grove cemetery, northeast of Ames.Mrs. Peebles will be buried with military honors and the veterans patriotic organizations of Ames will attend the service in a body and take part in the interment service.
The funeral will be in charge of Rev. Dillavou of the United Brethren church of Ames.
The interment will be in charge of the Ames post American Legion, with other patriotic bodies assisting.
Mrs. Peebles, whose maiden name was Lucy Alfred, was a native daughter of Milford township, having been born on the old Alfred homestead upon which her brother Charles now lives.
